DJ Sherdina, aka “The Girl,” has over thirty years of experience in the music business as a disc jockey and sound engineer. She was also certified with Manhattan Neighborhood Network, as a television technical director, producer, and audio technician. She has worked as a video editor, television studio camera and camcorder operator. Some of her other skills include photography, song writing and publishing articles on music industry events. She is also a certified Reiki practitioner.
DJ Sherdina has been featured at some of New York’s top clubs, such as the Lime Light, Club Avalon, the China Club, the Palladium, the Supper Club, the Sound Factory Bar, Club Cheetah, Club Elite, Tatou Super Club, Nell’s Super Club, the World, Club Octagon, Maxim’s Super Club, and the Roxy, just to name a few.
DJ Sherdina’s unique energy has a way of constantly keeping the crowd aroused and always on the dance floor, by using her incredible knowledge of so many music styles. Her specialty and true love are the classics from the Paradise Garage era. Since the passing of her partner of over 18 years, Margarita Cancel, DJ Sherdina is working in the recording studio on new music the she composed to honor the memory of Margarita. DJ Sherdina has dedicated her life to keeping the spirit of “The Girls” alive with the positive energy of love and harmony through music and the creative arts.
